Putting Competition

There were concerns first thing that the long awaited putting competition might have to be postponed, but by 9.30am the rain had stopped and 21 members of the club met at the Barrfields putting green.

We tee’d off at 10.00 with pairs starting from holes 1 and 10. It was enjoyed by everyone and there were two holes in one.

The results were: Winner: Bernie Rafferty 44, Runner-up: Gerry Brown 45, honourable third: Freddie Hay 47. Coo’s tail? – at least it wisnae me.

Afterwards we enjoyed bacon or Lorne sausage rolls and coffee.
