I’ve just found this report in the Largs & Millport Weekly Advertiser:
Largs Probus Club recently enjoyed (15 – 19 May) a coach holiday to Lytham St Annes – with plenty of members pitching in to join the fun.
It was a welcome getaway for the club, which provides the opportunity for retired or semi-retired men over the age of 55 to meet and promote friendship and good fellowship. Obviously our partners were also invited!
The club meets weekly on Wednesday mornings in the Willowbank Hotel on Greenock Road at 10am, for coffee and chat, followed by a guest speaker.
There is also an active bowls section, a technology discussion group and outings to the theatre and places of interest.
