The club recently had a fascinating talk/video presentation from Bill Rodgars. Bill is an amateur photographer who has had access to some intriguing places. It was in three separate sections and the best way to give you a flavour of his experiences is to give you some internet links.
Oradour-sur-Glane
The first mini-talk was concerning the massacre in Oradour–sur-Glane on 10 June 1944, four days after D-Day. The village of Oradour-sur-Glane in Haute-Vienne in Nazi-occupied France was destroyed when 642 civilians, including non-combatant men, women, and children, were massacred by a German Waffen-SS company. Billl had visited the village which is now a memorial.

Monaco Grand Prix in 2013
The third one concerned Bill being engaged as a photographer for the Amber Lounge at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2013. Obviously his photographs are not available, but some similar ones are available here.

These were fascinating mini-talks with all three subjects new to nearly all of us.
