Today (26th March), was the first opportunity to assemble the new committee for a photoshoot. There aren’t really any new faces, only a shuffle around. No one looks any different from last year’s mug shots, which is good. So, please click this link The Committee. Here they are all together.

Our new President was in good form today as he presided over a Members’ Coffee Morning.

A surprise presentation was made to Iain Kerr, who had been secretary for 12 years.

There was quite a buzz from the chatting going on over tea/coffee and scones

After the formalities, we then had two excellent talks from members, Morrison Sutherland who spoke about his career in the automotive trade and David Mackie, a freelance musician, who spoke about his time with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company. These will be the subject of the next blog posting.
New members are always welcomed at the Club. If you are 50 or over, retired, or nearing retirement, (men only, I’m afraid) you can attend three meetings as a guest and find out what a relaxed and friendly time we have. That’s plenty of time to decide whether to become a Club member or not. Please check out our programme and then use our Contact Form if you wish to attend as a guest, or to enquire about joining.
Largs Probus Club will next meet on Wednesday 2nd April at 10:00am within the Willowbank Hotel for a coffee morning, when Barbara Graham will speak on the life of Alexander Graham Bell.
